Over my internship I was able to develop a very strong relationship with my co-workers, my students, and parents. I got to know every staff member on a personal level and every opportunity I had I would engage in conversations with other teachers to help develop my knowledge of teaching. I have learned a lot from them and I believe that they have used some of my ideas as well.
I developed a strong relationship with my students. I believe I treated them all with respect and in turn they respected me back as a teacher. I was able to relate to all of them on a personal level. I feel very comfortable in front of my class and feel that I can truly relate to them.
Through my coaching and involvement with other co-curricular activities, participation in parent teacher interviews and attendance at open houses’ I was able to meet and build a relationship with the parents and other community members of Pense. I think it is so important to develop a strong relationships with parents and I am looking forward to building a relationship and rapport with the parents of my future students.
